On losing our Abby...
Earlier today, we bid farewell to our beloved Abby (a.k.a. "Babba"), the last of our dogs. As she's always been special to me, I am still not sure what it will be like to come home to a completely empty yard.

On losing our Sampson
On August 17, we bid farewell to our best friend, Sampson (a.k.a. "Plushy"). We already miss him terribly!

On the verge of 29...
I turn 29 in a few days. I'm not sure if it's more odd that it doesn't bother me or that I really HAVE felt the time pass. You know how people always say, "Where does the time go?" Yeah, right now I feel like I'm 40 so I have a pretty good idea. haha

New things
First, we welcomed baby Mimsy, Chuzzle and Olive's first kit! Yes I am keeping her - she is not for sale! :) She turns 6 weeks old this Saturday.
Second, we welcomed my new car, as of last Saturday. It's a match made in heaven - I keep trying to find excuses to go driving or just sit in it. ha!
Otherwise, summer has been busy and full of a LOT of editing. Hoping to get some relaxation in very soon! Hope everyone else is having a wonderful summer. :)

Summertime...and the living is easy
Okay, I realize I'm about three days early on calling it summer, but thus far it's been fabulous! I've been hard at work on a few books in addition to my job, and taking care of Abby, my overgrown puppy. :)
I've been thinking of resurrecting my old book and doing some writing this summer, so we'll see how that goes. As I've only been editing the past few years, I have more of a critical eye than anything else. Worth a shot though, I suppose!
This summer will be great, I can already tell. I've been able to catch up on sleep, hang out with my siblings and my mom, and do some much-loved shopping on Ebay. Why buy a wardrobe locally when you have the internet, right? :) Ebay and Amazon are my favorite stores these days.
No vacation plans this year, but I am taking a couple days off here and there to relax and maybe brainstorm on some new workouts. I can't wait.

Breaking My Four-year Silence
Hello to any/all who still keep track of my site!
I cannot believe I still have this blog after all these years!
Well, so much has transpired over the last 4 years, that I wouldn't even know where to start. In short, life is good - I feel very contented where I am right now, and wouldn't change a thing.
I now have a job (same company) as a tech editor, and I love every day of it. Even if the day is bad, a quick trip to our new espresso machine can remedy that in a hurry. I am friends with a few of my coworkers, and at times it isn't even like working. We're quite spoiled. But then there are days that are so incredibly busy that it's impossible to please everyone. Suffice it to say, I've become an expert in stress relief supplements.
I have two chinchillas, Chuzzle and Olive (a.k.a. "bad little girl") now, who I love very much. Our fluffy Baylee left us a couple of years ago and we miss her, but Abby and Samson are still here - they still hang around for us to laze around with on the weekends.
It's funny that my last post was about my new car, as right now I'm currently in the market for another one. I'm excited about its replacement already - it's going to be a good one. :)

A Long-Overdue Update!
Hi folks! Yes, I realize it has been an eternity since I have ever said anything on here...quite honestly I had kind of forgotten I had this site. :) Ha!
So, in January, I was ever-so-blessed with this, my very own car:
School is just about over now! Technically, it is, but I am still finishing up a class that I have to submit to my teacher by July. It's hard to get motivated when I am tired of school, but easier to get motivated because that is the only thing I have to work on. Seriously, though, when you really think about it, who is THAT motivated to do school, anyway? ;)
I have been offered some summertime responsibilities at work, it is a great opportunity to learn some new skills and help out, and put in some more hours. Last week I worked my first 24-hr. work week in ages...it was insane, I left at 2pm on Thursday to go home till Monday! It was fun, though.

Yeah we've made great friends. I have sometimes missed my other car (perhaps because we were parted so suddenly and without ceremony!), but in some ways, this one is everything that one wasn't...which is kind of nice.
I was borrowing my dad's...and, um...the transmission went out when I was driving it. Now I get teased that I am bad luck to cars and shouldn't touch anyone's. Ha ha HA.

And, of course, here are Abby and Baylee (and Samson!) now. Notice the abundance of fur in comparison to my Oct./Nov. posts!
